sorry still trying to see how this thing works.  So I'm new to saltwater tanks and have a lot of questions.  I like the forum idea because I get the chance to talk to you and ask questions find out what works and what doesn't.  The other day I jumped on chat and had a chance to meet a couple of you guys hope to use that a lot because it was nice to be able to have some questions and get answers fast.  And it was fun chatting with people who have a lot of knowledge about saltwater tanks.

So I have had my tank for almost 4 weeks now, it is a 29 gal.  The previous owner had it for about 3 years but when we moved it to my house the nitrates have gotten all jacked up.  So because of that I have read a ton on the internet and in books.  Any time I get a chance I'm trying to find more info on the matter.  In my tank i have pro 24 lbs of lr and 30 lbs of live sand(20 lbs of that I just added last week).
I have 2 clowns 10-15 snails and 10-15 hermit crabs.  also a week and a half after getting the tank I added a few corals(which i regret) frags of mushrooms and zoathids sp? which actually seem to be doing pretty good minus the leaf mush that I just posted about under corals.

I hope I get things turned around and get this tank looking like those of the pros!  I have a 55 gal that I eventually want to set up as a reef so if all goes well I will be getting that going in the future(if my wife lets me hehe)

My next step for this tank is to set up an overflow and sump.  Not really sure how to start but Bill gave me a pretty good link to get me going.  Thanks!!

I changed the aquascape a little, its hard to get it where I like it but what do you guys think of it now?  Its kind of hard to tell in this pic but I moved the rocks more towards the back and stacked em so there is more room in front.
