naw don't worry about it. Shipping is really expensive. The first powerhead I bought my brother accidentally shipped it to his apt in MN so I had to wait for him to send it here which cost him 8 bucks to ship. I can see this powerhead going for around that much maybe?

Lost the bidding, I told my brother I'm willing to bid 12 bucks and I was willing to pay 18 bucks for it. But he thought 12 total. The powerhead went a little over 12. I think I'll drop by smart to go see if they have any maxi jets there as Ebay has no more good deals for powerhead right now.

you mentioned a big consideration...take shipping into account and add it to the cost.  i usually just pick up a few PH's when i make an order from F&S, or someplace similar.

if you don't need a PH quickly, wait for MAX and see Dirk (i forget the name of his company, but it's Dirk's ______).  he always has MJ's on the cheap.

with a 14 gal setup, do you really need a PH, or are you swapping the pump out on a BC14?

it's funny how after you do this awhile, you don't think "i need to go buy a <insert item>"...you simply go grab one from your "private LFS"...

that's how you know you've passed into true aquarium geekdom!

One of them was sold in less than 5 hours it was put up. Is 100 gph good? the one online cost 11 dollars 9 bucks+2 dollars shipping. Right now I'm using my HOB filter for circulation and it seems to be holding up for now.
