Cesar's 40g
« on: January 30, 2010, 06:40:57 PM »
Well I have been thinking about thinking of putting my 40g thread here on "The Little Ocean". I had to do some major work on rocks. I've been battling with Aptasia and it has been kicking my a$$. Since I can't beat them what do I do? Throw a bunch of rock out. I had too much anyway. Ever since I lost my NR 20g tank to a water leak I haven't been the same in this hobby. Well It's time to step it up a little. Of course it all depends on the funds. But I will slowly re-do this 40g tank into somewhat my pride and joy 20g tank.

Once the water calms down from all that sand being blasted all over the place because of all the rock I got rid of, I will snap some pictures. Hopefully they are not horrible, lol.

well, hey there... you really do exist?!?!?!?!?

hehehehe

And yea, the loss of that tank would make me cry out loud... DANG... this is the first time i have seen that tank... and WOW WOW WOW

those zoas in the front center look familiar?? are those from my old tank???   They certainly look like the spread like mine did... btw:  if they are from my old tank, i might have called them 'fire and ice' zoas, but they arent...  not sure what the real name is, but i saw real fire and ice, and mine werent even close...

That yellow leather is beautiful... so is that lobo that is under it... WOW, talk about inflation...

Is that a christmas tree favia??? again, WOW WOW

And what is that to the left of that favia... are those frilly mushrooms?  and if so, did you get them from me???  Mine werent that big, but maybe they grew better in your tank???

DANG your tank was sweet....

Im sure your new setup will awesome.....

BTW:  not sure if you been reading other threads on this forum or not, but we got a few folks here who are battling the aptasia,,, and to get to the point of that thread   APTASIA-X seems to be the product of the year...

Thanks guys. That 20 gallon tank was my pride and joy. I lost it a few years back and I still can't get over it, lol. Even my wife reminds me all the time "Remember that beautiful tank you had? What's wrong with this one?" LOL.

Well I lost my little 6 line wrasse yesterday. Not to water quality but because the little dude decided to go carpet surfing. Found him yesterday all dry and dusty. It landed behind my tank. I noticed it gone when it was feeding time last night. The little dude didn't come out for dinner. Did an inspection of the location and noticed him there on the floor. Had him for about 6 years going on 7.

Bummer. I wonder why he decided to go after that long.
There is something fishy going on here...

I have a feeling something startled him. There are times when I just walk in front of the tank and fish go swimming all over the place. That's the only thing I can think of.
