well the eggs hatched out last friday, the fish took a break over the weekend and got back to work today. they were grooming the rock behind the nem this morning and sometime this afternoon they laid an even larger clutch of eggs than the previous one.

They're gonna be pissed when i move the tank..

he is putting together a newer bigger tank... he has a tank build thread...

andyes, they will prolly stop laying.. for a long time.. sorry...


and yes, the clutches at the beginnin are smaller. but i think you knew that and mentioned it before.. i was actually surprised at how big the first clutch is..

but the time schedule for laying eggs is 14 days, and they hatch every 10 days... (plus or minus of course)

so there is a 2-3 day gap between when they hatch and the new clutch

We'll see how long of a hiatus they take.. They have surprised me thus far. I mean poo poo, i expected it to be months before  i ever saw a clutch of eggs, if any at all.

Well, after the move they're finally back at it again after the move.  Actually saw them in the midst of the deed. Turns out they tend to lay a clutch in the later afternoon..

my clowns would lay at different times of the day or nite...

it would take a couple hours to lay the entire clutch of eggs
