Meh, could be. Course, there was a polyclad flatworm that i found in my tank. Turns out that the kind i had in my tank was also the kind that eats tricnidad clams. 2 weeks before i had lost a crocea that was doing great one day then the next it was dead. Sometimes prophylactic removal is best, or at least banish it to the sump till it can be id'd (dont do that with a flat worm, they will find their way back to the DT)

it appears to be a brown blur. Take it from me...I am a marine biologist.

dood...you almost made me spit my coffee all over my new laptop!   :D

Jay,

the reason the critter isn't in focus but the castle is, is because of the minimum focusing distance of the camera, cell phon or no, any lens has a minimum focusing distance.  had you moved back some, the blur would be in focus.  just file that away for the next time, maybe experiment by shooting the same object repeatedly (move back with each successive shot) until it comes into focus and remember what that distance is.

either that or he molted, the HH i had did that a few times. If you have a sump relegate him to sump monkey status, thats what i did..

still hard to tell what kind of crab that is, but the general shape, and position of his pinchers is lmaking me think it isnt good.

i would put him into the sump or over flow...
