Lately i've been dosing vodka to try and get my nitrates under control. Finally seeing some results. Nitrates are down to the 10 ppm range, Mg is sitting at 1500, Phosphate is sitting at a not so happy .23 so i'm going to put the GFO reactor back on line and swap out the carbon in the phosban reactor. Did a 50% water change about a month ago and did a 30% the other day. Going to monitor the Nitrate and Phosphate levels and see what happens. If I cant get the Phosphate down to at least the hundredths in two weeks i'm going to do another monster water change as well as keeping the GFO reactor online and the GFO swapped out pretty frequently. Dont have my ALK and CA test kits in the house, i'll add the results from those a little bit later.
