i'd put the SH way on the back burner until you get your sea legs under you.  SH aren't hard to keep provided their needs are met, and they do indeed have special needs.

Hello Folks,
So, I have the tank cleaned out and the fish moved back into it. Got a new canister filter and the bubble line in it right now. The canopy that was with this thing well, leaves some to be desired. I was told before it was moved that one of the lights worked. Now, negatory.  All it has is half an acrylic like piece that fits on and a crappy looking small canopy that doesn't even fit it.  I looked some online Gawd freaking expensive. I saw some set up's that were close to what is already there. I don't know what I am going to do yet. I got the bulb so I can at least try and replace that for now. The fish seem very healthy swimming frolicking around. Damn why can't saltwater be that easy?
Anyone have any suggestions for hexagon canopy?http://thelittleocean.com/smf118/Smileys/default/682.gif

you shouldnt need much lighting for this tank... a simple compact flourescent or even a regular flourescent should be adequate

Well, On Easter the big goldfish passed away. He started hanging down at the bottom of the tank. Then he was acting like he couldn't control his floating? Like his body would be unable to control. Swim Bladder Disease? It was like he was in an anti gravity chamber ? I don't get it.. I even used the original water (what was left) and just added the "new water" and he lived for weeks. All the other fish seem fine. They do seem happy they seem to stare into the mirror alot.
