at least you all can have peps in your tanx...in most of our setups, peps = snax.  :grin1:

in fact, i need to reach into the volitans tank and kill a few appies this weekend (i think there are about 3 or so).   :violent-smiley-007:

Will they tolerate you putting your hand into their water? The volitans, not the aippies.
What will you use to 'kill' them?
OMG...I'm obsessed !!!! :angry1:

yea, we gotta get pics of Renee sticking her hands into the tank...

(like that would happen anytime soon)

im sure it is possible to 'hand' the tank, it would just recquire some good eye hand coordination to keep at least one eye open and fast reflexes

btw: i also noticed lanny is building up his post count on REEFNAZI... i think he is up to 8 now???

hehehehe

i've never had any problem putting my hand into any of our setups.  if the volitans is in the way, i just give it a gentle "shoo" and it swims to the other side of the tank.  i've actually reached under our frondosa with one finger and gently lifted it out of my way, as they simply sit there.

it's the 60 gal that can be kinda challenging until they all settle down (there are 4 venomous fish in it), as they insist on begging and think everything that goes into the tank is a feeding stick.  it's funny as hell to watch the c.ockatoo follow the vacuum wand around trying to find a piece of food.  that fish is really a hoot.

it's all in knowing your tank and your fish, Tania.  can it still happen?  sure, but one simply needs to remember what is in the tank and be respectful of the fish and act accordingly.  for instance, altho i have no problem working in the tanx, i DO make sure i know where all the scorps are before putting my hand in.

I also do this in the wild and in the ocean...

what a load of rubbish.. I'm going to experiment with some Aiptasia Exit from Salifert and see how that does. Cant be any worse than whats going on already. GRRR..

I need to get some clean LR and put a couple of small tanks together and make an appie farm in my garage, then buy a few of those bhergias from the one bloke thats near us and breeding them and breed some myself. The trick i believe is keeping the appies growing so the bhergias dont run out of food since they are obligate feeders.

I'm still dosing the aippies with Aiptasia-X, but still they pop up in other parts of the tank...even on the powerhead!!!
I bought Berghia Nudibranches, they disappeared!! thought maybe the Dragonette ate them -just before he died-.
I agree, it is total rubbish. Nothing I do solves the problem. :0(
