depending on what needs to be serviced on the SNAPPER, chances are it is something you can do pretty easily..

the seals are uber easy... it takes longer to take the volute off and back on then it does to change the seal/bearing

if the motor needs to be replaced, then it would cost more then $115 and prolly wouldnt be worth it...  also, you can find motors cheaper on ebay... but there are some differences but typically once you get the 'model number from reeflo, then you can get the correct replacement motor...

but, like i said, typically it is the seal between the inside cover of the volute, and the motor... the seal is what the shaft slips/slides thru.

you can prolly getr the seal replacement info off of reeflo website...

I have an extra impellar fro the dart btw....

Wow. It looks like a real fish tank.

Still not a blip of nitrite or ammonia...almost odd. The current stocking list is: 2 bluefin damsels, 1 clarkii, 1 giant barnacle blenny, 1 watchman goby, 1 coral banded shrimp, 1 peppermint shrimp, some gorgonian, an assortment of rhodactis, actinodiscus, and zoanthids, an assortment of snails, and one very pissed off GBTA.

Other than the anemone, everything looks really happy. The GBTA is still feeding strong and very sticky, it is just that he walked up the back and is hanging on the top left overflow.
There is something fishy going on here...

i would put the gbta into a rubbermaid floating thingy... im afraid it will try to get into the overflow or the pump or something...

put a rock or something into the rubbermaid too... they like the rocks with a hole in it...

a doughnut hole...

and the tank looks great....

Oh, I am sure he would be puree of anemone by now if that drain was running. It is just sitting with a PVC plug in it until I get my real sump figured out, so I figure I will let him hang out there as long as he wants. It's easy to feed, and he can always walk to more light. He's had a hard life...

Thanks! The clarkii has been following me around from tank to tank for over two years now. He is quite a champion, and has survived more than he should have ever been forced to tolerate.

I am about 2/3 of the way done rewiring the canopy. I am going from 6 48" T12VHO to 2 T12VHO and 4 48" T5, overdriven to 80w. It is only shaving off 120w, but it will be more PAR/watt and cooler. Now I need to scrape together cash to fill all those empty sockets...
