those "cute little mandies" are actually kinda brutal when they decide to eat something that's too big for them.  the specimen we kept for about 8 years LOVED micro brittles, and would actively hunt them on the substrate.

nice shot, Jake.

Yeah, it seemed every time he would flare out all of his fins including the dorsal spike he would be facing the wrong way..

ours was a ham...(he was a bit thin here, as he slowly went off his feed towards the end of our 8 years together):

BTW, that pic won Renee a ER REEFNAZI-180!

hehe, nice.. i'm thinking about going down to the wholesalers again with lanny when i have time and finding him a girlfriend. Its so hard to pick out a female in the fray of males there though, plus when they are all scared and crammed into a small tank they tend to not display. That makes it dam near impossible to differentiate between male and female..

well, mr ghostie predator had to be moved to the newly established nano cube due to the sixline repeatedly kicking his You better mean it as in 'donkey'. His fins were all ragged and he was getting thin.. I put him in the cube on monday, most of his ragged fins have already healed most of the way up. Just a little bit of his dorsal needs to re-grow and two splits in his tail need to re-heal..  Had he not been eating pellets i would have taken him and made a compartment in the sump for him because the fuge and the pods are all down there. The damsels would have probably messed him up as bad as the wrasse did. Mr sixline's days as a main DT fish may be numbered though. He's been being a general bastard lately to most of the fish..

as you know, six lines are notoriously infamous, (hows that for redundant, but not really??)  hehehehehe

i have heard more stories about six lines then damsels...

damsels seem to chase things, but the six lines seem to try to eat things... hehehehe

oh well, sump monkey status is not just for damsels anymore....

Our damsel could be on its way out......it's picking on the flame fish -actually taken part of its sail off!!-, and is now attempting to pull coral about....how dare it!!!!
