it really depends on what you're keeping in the tanx. however, i can tell you that the pipefish will need to be fed one way or another. what species are you keeping? are they weaned to frozen?
on the 100 gal there are:
1 pink tail triggerfish, one yellowtail wrasse, one sailfin tang, one purple tang, one yellow tang, one orange shoulder tang, one hippo tang, one niger trigger, two tank raised false perculas, a one spot foxface, a tomini tang, 4 blue green chromis, and a coral beauty. corals i only have a small toadstool, many mushrooms, button polyps (like 55 polyps), and a colony of star polyps. the tank is full of copepods, spaghetti worms, and scuds. 10 blue legged hermits, 7 mexican turbos. all the live rock is full of red purple and green coralline algae. i know it sounds very crowded but all of them live peacefully. they dont do anything to each other no harassment no nothing, and most of the time all of them swim together from one side of the tank to the other its really funny when they do that. plus all the water parameters are within range. ammonia 0 nitrites 0 nitrates lesss than 10 ppm. SG is at 1.022 after i add the 5 gallons of top off water.
on the 55 gal i have two firefish, one yellow watchman goby, the two pipefish, and a blue green chromis. some nerith snails and 5 blue legged hermit crabs. and 3 mexican turbos. same parameters as the 100 gal tank.
