greg and renee's new place
« on: July 24, 2010, 09:25:44 PM »
Well, i spent the afternoon at greg and renee's new home.. and it is lovely.. but I am guessing that renee wished i only spent 2 hours.. hehehehe

the house is kinda neet / different then the pictures i saw.. the front room area looked twice as big in the pictures and obviously  twice as small in real life...

it will look great with the in wall tank.. im guessing one year, two years max for that to happen...

the kitchen is big.. it is open on one side that is the 'dining area' and day room... or tv room...  they have plans for the kitchen too, but they will 'make do' for a while with it the way it is.. (of course everything is getting painted, and is actually almost al done... Im guessing tuesday or wednesday it will be all painted)

I did screw up two things today, *not counting my back,  i broke the smoke detector... I was putting back into the ceiling and i dropped it.. so not it beeps all the time... have to take the battery out to shut it off... dang it...

I also broke one of greg's favorite tools.. they were telling he how old it was, and how long it has been with greg, and all that, and im using it and all of a sudden it falls into pieces.. right in my hand.. it was a screw driver.. ratcheting type... it was a snap on. so it is guarantee'd for life... but the hassle of getting it replaced...

Im sorry greg...  so funny how you all were telling me how it was your special/long time tool, and withina few minutes, i am holding parts... dang it...

of course it happens to me..

I sat on my butt for the next half hour and supervised. but of course couldnt stay seated... i did help a little. i did clean the paint brushes and rollers, and showed them how to clean them and use the 'spinner' to throw out the paint from the roots and to dry the brushes and rollers. its a great tool.. professional tool so nto many folks know about them...

and yes, i am one of those people that dont believe 'just anybody' can be a painter...  yes, anyone can get paint on the walls, but only a few can do it well, and fast and cleanly... and they can keep thier tools for more then just one house../ project...

and yes, it is that attitude that kept rubbing renee.. and yes, i kept rubbing her the wrong way a few times... i just can help myself.. she is so easy to tick off...

I hope she knows i am not talking down to HER... i would do it to anyone.. and because it is her I take it easy... hehehe, and yes, i know she dont think so...

But she does make it easy... like this one crack in the floor tile... it is a 16 inch floor tile.. huge.. and it had a small crack in it.. but that is not what i was looking at first.. i saw a big, not a small, crack in the floor slab.. and it went into the middle of the tile...and of course right above that crack was the small hairline crack int he floor tile.. and she was telling me they broke it and they dropped something on it and all that, and im telling her no, it broke cause the slab is cracked and uneven and that large tile is easyer to break/crack with slab problems, at least theya re easier to crack then a smaller tile... try flexing a small tile adn try flexing a larger tile.. it will be easier to flex the larger tile, and no, you can not flex it on your own with your arms, but the point is teh same.. the larger the tile, the better the slab has to be...

but she is going on and on about how no, they did it cause they dropped something on it... and of course my last comment that the crack in the slab had nothing to do with it then... got her... heehehehe... sorry renee.. i got it   you dropped something on it, and it cracked when you dropped soemthing on it.. but, seriously, if the slab wasnt cracked, then you wouldnt have broken the tile by dropping something on it...

not going to happen...  well, maybe, a couple elephants, but were you having a party i didnt know about...

hehehee

anyways, i had a great time... i love renee, but wouldnt marry her... heheheh (i wouldnt marry anyone, as they wouldnt like me and i dont blame them... )

I look forward to seeing the house when you move in... I hope to have a bbq party... and i got a house warming present in mind for you..

oh yea.. the back... i fell down... hehehe.. and the fall wasnt bad, it was the fall after the fall.. hehehehe.. or as renee said... i kept on falling, and then falling and falling.  to me it was one slow motion fall, and more embarassing, as i do  have issues with losing my balance, and or losing leverage or whatever... hehehehe

just dont like doing it in front of people...
