thanks, and yes, no doubt drama will follow me... as some people would call out... although i think i have just as much drama as anyone else, i just share it more then others... but everyone has family issues, and school issues and work issues and housing issues and medical issues.. but you all keep it to yourselves and i splatter it all over the internet...

btw  there were two stories in the honolulu newpaper today.. the first was about a census worker who got arrested for trespassing on the big island... those people like thier privacy... and the govt trains workers to be a little persistant.. so the homeowner flashed his badge and called his buddies to arrest him

his buddies show up, wad up the census forms and throws them at the guys chest and hand cuffs him... so it is a federal worker who is involved in a state crime of trespassiong.. so the for the first time, or rare time, the federal prosecutor is the defending attorny defending a governemtn employee...

the case would require the state to fly out four witness' to oahu several times and put thim in hotels and stuff, and probably would lose...

oh, btwL  the guy that lived on the property and called the police was a cop... Why didnt he want the govt to know about him and his family????
what kind of redneck cop dont care about the govt...

too funny

the other story.. not so funny... but the grand poo bah of the MASONIC temple ran over one of the head leaders of the local masonic club... apparently he was pulling the car out for the guy he ran over, and it was a 'special' vehicle.. it was modified because the driver has cerbral palsy, so the gas and brake pedal were reversed...

oooppsss  maybe he should have told the guy , hey, btw... the pedals are backward.... hehehehe

i mean whooops...

ok, i got some pics from my camera that i finally uploaded so they maybe a bit out of order...

last saturday, i went to a BON dance in Haleiwa.. it was my first.. and no, i didnt dance around the 'ring' thingy... im guessing there a a few hundred folks and it would take an hour or two to get one revolution...

yy

I like the little kid inthe middle with his hands in his ears... hehehehe

ACTUALLY, i like this little kid better

then, after the dance, (btw: there are more pics on my photobucket account, so feel free to follow the links back to the albums and browse to your hearts content...

but, after the dance, they let the floating candles loose into the haleiwa bay...

Here are the priest leading the way.

And then, into the waterre they go...

ok, yesterday, i went hiking.. my roomate told me it was an EASY to INTERMEDIATE trail and that i should be ok.. RIGHT...

We drove there and it took about 15 minutes.. and when we parked, (on the side of hte road), i looked up and knew i shouldnt go, but i did... and i made it about half the way up the hill

and for the record, none of these gurlz is my roomates, but they are friends of one of my roomates...

(Im driving a honda prelude.. thw worlds smallest car, but yet big enuf for these girls)

parked on the side of the road, (onthe beach, of course).

Im supposed to hike this ???

and this is a trail???

I started dropping off a few times and they were waiting on me so i told them to go on ahead and i would wait for them to come back down...
i rested in teh shade

but i got my wind back and kep on goin'

Im above the gliders when they fly by on thier tours...

and that is my car on the bottom, kinda about 11:00 position

Umm, pretty high up, so i stopped.. and my battery went dead in my phone.. so no need to go on futher as i wouldnt have any proof anyways

hehehehe

came back down and went swimming at that beach for a bit, then went back to my 'surfers' pad..

and yes, it is all surfer DUDES...

(ummm, sorry, but had to show it.. i didnt take pictures of the other scuzz, and i spent hours cleaning... i scrubbed the sink and tthe counter top and the stove... and i mean the stove was SCUZZY...

The next day i scrubbed teh refrigerator.. it was growing things that were moving... one day it was on the bottom then ont he top the it was in the freezer just to show me how tough it was...

the next day i scrubbed the shower, and then i gave up... im done... they cant say i didnt do my share/part... i better get my deposit back...  hehehehehehe

well, today, since LOST was filmed across the street from wher ei am staying, i figured i would check it out...

this is the scene where they hid inteh banyan tree... (whenver the smoke monster would come out)

thats as close as i could get.. they are done with LOST, but now they are filming Pirates of the CArribean, (and no, this isnt jamaica)

then i went swimmin with turtles...

(yes, thats his little nose sticking up)  the pics get better, but not much, sorry

i then put my snorkel and fins on and went swimming with them.. it was cool although they kinda scatters when i got too close, and i was ruining hte pictures for everyone else.. and yes, there were tour buses stopped here and letting everyone take pictures. and it screws the traffic up something bad, but hey, they pay the bills

Loving the adventure Bill, water looks great, and the floating candle shots are lovely.

Couldn't see the first pic's you posted, just getting a 'deleted/blocked by Photobucket' thing!!! so still haven't seen the burger..lol - strange for me, as a veggie, still fascinated by meat products - hubby is a true carnivore, so I still prep' and cook any game he shoots........

Lost? Pirates of the Caribbean? you are hobnobbing it aren't you...any actors/actresses about????

Oh and well done you for getting so far up on the hike. Keep up the good work, I'm soooo enjoying your holiday. Your next port of call looks lovely, fingers crossed you can get accommodation there.

Looking forward to the next instalment....... :0012396: :0012396: :0012396:

and to those that PM me with questions that can be posted in public, (Jay?)...

I havent decided yet on wheter i am moving to hawaii yet or not... probably but still undecided...  Im hoping the Big Island will be better, cheaper...   I can find a place for about $1300 a month here, which will be ok, but tight.  especially if prices keep going up...i would like to find something for LESS... maybe $500-800 a month???

Im told i can find plces for $200 in thailand.. but i have grown used to speaking english... and eating mostly english foods...  although I can probalby learn or unlearn as the case maybe....Im told i could live like a king over there.. maids, cooks, etc...and still have money left over....

but, I like americal laws, and know what to expect and know how to stay out of trouble over here... anywhere else i can walk on the wrong side of the street at the wrong time of day and be screwed for life....

I have a friend who co-owns the Travellers Rest in Thailand, she's been out there for about 4 yrs now, and loves the life/style......Here's a link.

http://www.travellersrest.asia/

Saying that however, I sometimes watch a series on TV, one of those 'fly on the wall' style documentaries called Trouble In Thailand...puts me off.......not that I would go out there with the intent of  breaking any laws..lol

well, went to a 'beach party' last nite.. what a joke.. .a bunch of hoale surger dudes, (sausage fest). sittin around a fire with not enough wood, and them drinkin beer and taquilla... and strokin a ukelele singing nothing... maybe trying to sing something that 'sounded' spanish/mexican, but clearly was just them singing/saying MAMA, bada bada bada.. MAMA MAMA MAMA, bada bada bada...

omg... i finally said sing something local/hawaiin, and they started/trying more like it to sing the 'somewhere o'er the rainbow song..

it's hard for me to complain about others singin when i cant sing happy birthday... but omg, they were bad and were clearly not local / kamaina...

i asked if they know or hang with any locals and not one of them said yes...

no wonder theyu cant find good weed!!!!

and they dont eat local foods...

Im glad they are happy and all that, but this is not what i am looking for... they are clearly wannabe's.  trying to 'talk' local and talk pidgeon english but not even close...

i dont really hang with them much.. most of the time, i wake up and get out and about on my own.. It wold be nice to share this with someone and to share experiences and stuff like that, but oh well... Seeing all the tourists that are here with someone makes it kinda worst... oh well... i was single before i got here and i will be single when i go home...

I got the oil changed and tires rotated in my firends car yesterday and had a 'pretty lazy day... i was sore from all the stuff and the beach party got me more sore... they crosseed a fence and walked a rocky path and the beach had buried rocks that i kept trippin gover... i jabbed my toes at least three times...

It also rained a couple times, althought it wasnt raining for long, it was big ole drops... like buckets hitting my head...

The ater is flat today again, and i want to go into the water, but i am sunburnt and sore.. my neck is kinda stiff.. even for me... so, it's almnost noon, and i am going to take a couple methodone pills and pray i wake up feeling better, physically and mentally...

I called my friend john yesterday, and havent gotten a reutrn call yet... he must really be busy with his wife and kid?!?!?!?

She has beenhome now for almost two weeks.  and i guess they are still so busy he cant hang with me or call me.... well, at least i got thier car... if i cant have someone around to talk with and share stuff with, at least i can use the crap out of thier car... although, had i known hwe was going to be 'unavailable' i wouldnt have stayed so long, or I would have gone to the Big Island for most of the time, and come here for just a weekend, but now, i will have rented a house for a month, and rent a place on the big island too...  and have a car in both places...

And this house i had to buy towels, and sheets and blanket and pillows and every food and drink vs... stayng at a friends house where you can contribute and share...

really not efficient use of my money, but i am not going to think too much about it now...
