Tania,

we currently have 12 tanx up and running, ranging in size from 3 gals to 100 gals...all SW, all (pretty much) FOWLR.  there are a few corals in some of them, but nothing even remotely resembling a reef.

we're currently keeping several species of scorpionfish, seahorses, anthias, barnacle blennies, and filefish.

well...i managed to simply swoop in and net the 'big boy', and this time it seemed to cooperate and didn't throw a fit in the net.  it went into the new digs without a hitch.  we have a few final touches to do with the aquascaping after we hang the light fixture, but here are some shots of the setup:

He looks like a happy bunny in there.. 8) all that tank to himself; saying that, there's not much else that could share it with him??  :-\

The straight edge tank will be my next goal I think, I currently have a curved one, as you have seen, and it tends to distort the view from certain angles, whereas yours has a clear and crisp view.... ;D
Great pic's.
Tania.

one of the biggest reasons i'm not a fan of bowfront tanx...i hate the distortion.  in fact, we have a NC28 HQI that i really can't stand because it distorts so much.  it's a good thing we use it as a QT and don't consider it a DT.

got r dun...

as for HOW i did it...i just took a big net (rounded it out a bit) and grabbed the fish up.  fortunately, it cooperated and laid quietly in the net while i walked to the living room with it.

the extra room is perfect.  the tank is now going thru its obligatory diatom bloom, after which, the R. frondosa will be joining the lion, followed by the R. eschmeyeri 2 or 3 weeks afterward.

D. biocellatus can be a REAL PITA to convert.  i've seen some nice specimens come thru the LFS's lately tho.  Renee has a unique philosophy when it comes to frozen training..."listen up, fish...you WILL eat frozen for me...resistance is futile!"   ;D

she got our "fu" onto a stick in relatively short order...(i think it got the message!  :P)

ok...since pix are compulsory...

added some macro awhile ago, the diatom bloom is over, added a few pieces of purple LR, and i added the first of the two Rhinopias to the tank (it's the R. frondosa on the right side under the overhang).

more "musical fish" will ensue...the 60 gal is empty (of fish) now!
